Tutorial Cloud offline? (In Depth Tutorial)

    Hello,
    so I regularly see people in discord and such report that they
    are having issues with their cloud connection so I thought that
    I would make a written tutorial so that instead of people who are helping them
    having to write out an explanation on how to fix the issue they could
    just search up this post on the forums, or just have a bookmark for it.

    1. Simple steps

    I suggest before following any of this you should try waiting
    5-10 minutes as in some cases just waiting is the answer to your problem.

    So the first thing to try when it says "Cloud Offline" is to simply
    try restarting your game. If that does not work then try
    logging out of the technic launcher.
    If that does not work the I suggest reinstalling the modpack.

    If any of this does not work try looking through the next few
    steps if they affect you.

    2. Is your Minecraft account legitimate?

    The Crafting Dead official servers do not allow people with
    Minecraft accounts that are cracked. You do indeed need a legit
    Minecraft account to play. This is to avoid people stealing other people's
    names and messing with stuff they shouldn't be.

    3. Mojang Servers

    Sometimes the Mojang sessions authentication servers go slow/down.
    You can check the status of the Mojang servers at http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/
    If it says on there that the sessions are down/slow the cloud will go down.
    This is just a case of waiting for Mojang to fix their issue.

    4. Have you tried adding a texture pack or additional mod?


    If you have attempted to add a texture pack or additional mod to your game
    then it will lock you out of the cloud, this is done to attempt to prevent people
    from using X-Ray texture packs and additional mods that allow you to X-Ray
    and fly in the game.

    How to fix this.

    Step 1: Remove the texture pack or mod and try reinstalling your game
    Step 2: if Step 1 has not worked follow this small guide:

    Go into %appdata% by either typing it into your file browser on the top bar
    or for Windows 10 users the little bar at the bottom left next to the windows logo.

    Next find ".technic"
    Then find the "modpacks" folder
    Then find the Crafting Dead modpack from the list of packs
    Then highlight all of the folders within the Crafting Dead modpack and
    delete them. Then go ahead and open up technic and click install on Crafting Dead.

    5. Your internet

    If the any of the steps above do not apply to you or help you
    then it may just be your connection.

    First just try clicking on your internet strength signal
    on the bottom right bar on your screen. Once you have found it
    try clicking it and clicking "disconnect". Your PC should automatically reconnect you
    to the connection. If you use an ethernet cable just try taking the cable out and putting it back in.

    If none of that works then try restarting your router. This can be done by just switching the plug off
    at the back of the wall or pulling the plug out and
    then wait 30 seconds or so and switch it back on or plug it back in.

    6. The cloud may just be offline

    First off I suggest asking other members in discord or a friend of yours
    to check if the cloud is working for them. If it is not working for a group of people
    then the cloud may indeed be offline, I suggest just trying to contact a staff member so
    they can contact the right authority to restart the cloud.

    7. Further issues

    If you are still having further issues with the cloud. I suggest contacting one
    of the staff team through either the forums or discord.

    Lovely, this helps out a lot. Sadly there is a forum post by staff regarding this issue in a video format.

    I thought that a written post was necessary since it is easier to just find what you want to see then sit through a whole video.

    I see people asking why their cloud isn't working all the time. I think this is a very good guide on how steps to get your cloud to work. This is definitely going to help people out.
